The last date of submission of retention and released players list for all the 10 teams of Indian Premier League, and the franchises have released some big names in anticipation of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.
All the players released and the remaining players who will register for the IPL Mega Auction, sool be conducted in the last week of November, who are going to put their names in bidding process, shall be auctioned off in a two day long bidding process.
While in some cases franchises would have let go of players who did not perform up to par and even, it has come to the point where these teams have been compelled to let go of their best players as the player regulations that were released by the IPL Governing Council state that a team can retain only a maximum of 6 players from their squad for the year 2024.
More like Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, and Mumbai Indians would have wished for a larger percentage of their numerals retained, but they will have to buy some of these stars during the auction.
IPL 2025 Released Players List
It comes as a shock that players like Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Jos Buttler have been permitted by their franchises to go in for an auction. Besides these, there will be other players who will have to find fresh placings or will if lucky be bought back by their clubs during the auction.
