When the league delivers top-class football from domestic and international players, something fans always crave for are goals. Be it breathtaking solo strikes or match-winning headers, action has had some of the finest finishers in ISL. As of September 19, 2024, after a historic brace by Sunil Chhetri, he has become the joint all-time top scorer in ISL history alongside Bartholomew Ogbeche. Let us take a glance at the top five scorers who have left an indelible mark on the ISL.
5. Lallianzuala Chhangte – 40 goals
Lallianzuala Chhangte, known as the "Mizo Flash," is one of Indian football's brightest attacking talents and the second Indian on this elite list. A fine talent who has impressed consistently since making a move to Mumbai City FC from Chennaiyin FC, Chhangte made waves by scoring 16 and 13 goals in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, respectively.

So rapid the ascent has been: Mumbai City FC won the League Winners' Shield in 2023 and ISL Trophy in 2024. His haul of 40 goals drew him a nomination for AIFF Men's Player of the Year 2023-24, getting him into a class of the very best in the ISL elite.
4. Ferran Corominas – 48 goals
Ferran Corominas is a legend in the ISL and also known to fans as "Coro." He soon became an overnight sensation after joining FC Goa for the 2017-18 season. He won the first Golden Boot in his debut with 18 goals and then again won it with 16 goals in 2018-19. This overall contribution of 48 goals and 16 assists in 57 appearances explains the presence of attacking prowess in Corominas.
3. Roy Krishna – 58 goals
Currently at Odisha FC, Fiji's Roy Krishna has set down for himself as the most clinical forwards in ISL history. He played a pivotal role in ATK winning the ISL title in the 2019-20 season in which he scored 15 goals, and the next season also continued his form with ATK Mohun Bagan, where he scored 14 goals.

Krishna joined Bengaluru FC in 2022-23, followed by a transfer to Odisha FC. He regained his form in Odisha FC; henceforth in the 2023-24 season, he scored 13 goals. He still features as one of the important strikers for Odisha FC with 58 goals.
2. Bartholomew Ogbeche – 63 goals
Nigerian forward Bartholomew Ogbeche left an indelible mark on the ISL after debuting with NorthEast United FC in the 2018-19 season. He earned the epithet of clinical finisher. Ogbeche followed that brilliant first season with the Kerala Blasters and an equally impressive stint at Mumbai City FC before finally leading Hyderabad FC to their first ISL title.

Bengaluru FC's skipper Sunil Chhetri is an icon of ISL but also a footballing great around the world. On September 19, 2024, Chhetri scored a brace to equal Ogbeche's record of 63 goals which puts him at joint all-time leading scorer in ISL history. Chhetri's incredible professional, disciplined career life indeed states why he himself is a goal scoring machine.

Chhetri has been associated with the ISL since 2016, scoring match-winning knocks for Bengaluru FC and helping the side lift its maiden ISL title in the 2018-19 season. His effort in front of the goal has made him one of Indian football's greatest players and at the age of 39, he seems to be showing no signs of retirement coming soon.
