In an emotional video that he uploaded on his Instagram and X accounts, Shikhar Dhawan stated.
I am announcing my retirement from international and domestic cricket. I am at peace that I played a lot for my country. I am also thankful to my fans for giving me so much of love. I just say to myself that don't be sad that you will not be able to play for your country now, but be happy that u played for your country. That's the biggest thing for me.

Dhawan's Achievements
The cricketer from Delhi made his debut on the international scene in October 2010 and represented India in 34 Tests, 167 ODIs, and 68 T20Is. He averaged 40.61 while scoring 2315 runs in Test cricket, 44.11 when scoring 6793 in ODIs, and 27.92 when scoring 1759 in T20Is. Shikhar Dhawan scored 17 runs in an ODI format and seven hundreds in a test match.
Under MS Dhoni's leadership, Shikhar Dhawan was a member of the Indian squad that won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013.
