In the next Test series, which will be held on Indian soil, team India will play Bangladesh after the Sri Lanka series.
After losing the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, Rohit Sharma and company are taking a break from cricket. Following their break, the Men in Blue will play the home Test series against Sri Lanka prior to their tour of Australia.

Bangladesh tour of India
September will mark the beginning of India's red ball campaign against Bangladesh. Chennai will host the first Test match. The second Test match will then begin on September 27 in Kanpur. Winning both games will help Team India maintain the top spot in the WTC points standings.
New Zealand Tour of India
Team India will play a three-match Test series at home against New Zealand following their tour of Bangladesh. On October 16, India and New Zealand will play their maiden Test match at the Bengaluru stadium. Following this, the second Test match is scheduled to begin on October 24 in Pune, while the final Test match is scheduled to begin on November 1 in Pune, Mumbai.
India Tour of Australia
After defeating New Zealand and Bangladesh, Team India will embark on a tour to Australia. The outcome of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, a five-Test series played in Australia, will be mostly determined by India's place in the World Tennis Championship final.
The first test of this series will be played in Perth on November 22, followed by the second test in Adelaide on December 6, the third test in Brisbane on December 14, the fourth test in Melbourne on December 26, and the final test in Sydney on January 3. It is scheduled to begin on November 22. Following this Test series, Team India will resume its 2025 ICC Champions Trophy preparations.
